Katie Pieper, a Ph.D. student in genetics competes on Monday night’s episode of Jeopardy. Katie works in the Dyer Lab at UGA under Dr. Kelly Dyer where she researches sex chromosome evolution in a species of North American fruit fly. She applied to be a contestant on the show years ago and was invited to audition in Atlanta in summer 2015. The episode will air on WXIA-TV 11 Alive at 7:30 PM. Congratulations, Katie!
