    Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.     Develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of students’ capacities to effectively explain their research using non-technical language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience in under three minutes. The Graduate School competition happens every fall semester. Some departments and colleges may offer local competitions during the spring semester.
